For over 120 years Arboretum Mustila has sought and tried hardy seed sources for autochtonous and foreign woody plants. The core of Mustila seed selection are the seeds collected from the best plantations in the arboretum itself. The selection is lavishly supplemented by select other seed sources in Finland, many of which are outplaced Mustila introductions. Also, new seed accessions are frequently shared with public. These have been selected with hardiness in mind.
